Thankful to find out about Tens for labor! It helped a lot with contractions management and pain. Had third unmedicated birth and first with Tens for labor. Can recommend for sure!

Very easy to rent and Elle Tens for labor on this website! I am in California and it arrived in 4 business days. The device came with everything I needed to easily use it and great written and video instructions as well as links to the user manual. I was able to practice using the unit once before labor which was enough to feel comfortable with the functions. I had an unmedicated delivery and moved about freely until my baby was born. Excellent!

Do yourself a favor and get it! It helped so much. By the time I got to the hospital I was at 10cm and had the baby within 20 min didn’t even push. Was it painless no but it helped me stay in control and manage my pain. Definitely recommend!

Would definitely recommend renting a TENS unit from Tens for Labor. Rather than buying my own unit that I would only use once, it was really helpful to rent it instead. It was easy to order and return and worked well.

The Elle Tens unit was a MUST HAVE during my unmedicated birth. I wore the tens unit for the majority of my labor! I started wearing it during early labor as advised and didn’t remove it until after I delivered my beautiful boy (except for when I was in the birthing tub!). I loved having the option for different settings and intensities so I could personalize my use for what I needed during each stage of labor. The Boost feature was AMAZING to have for my intense contractions as I was transitioning. I couldn’t have had the amazing birth experience I had without this incredible tool.

I used the TENS unit starting in early labor for my second unmedicated labor and it was incredibly helpful. It was very easy to set up and use. It helped with both redirected my focus from the contraction to the electric buzzing and helped mentally as well because I had to focus on hitting the pulse button when needed. For me personally it wasn’t much help during the pushing phase, the pulsing wasn’t even registering for me compared to the contraction, but it was very helpful up until then. I would definitely use it again for future pregnancies.

This greatly helped with my labor. I was able to use it to work through my contractions and the natural birth without an epidural and pain medication. I am a physical therapist and I will be recommending this to a lot of my patients!

I used the TENS unit at home early during labor and all the way to 7cm at the hospital. Unfortunately, it didn’t provide full pain relief through delivery but we got really far and I feel great about that. This company made it super simple to rent and return, great instructions on how to use, and I loved the ability to rent a higher end device but not be stuck with another thing to buy for keeps. Would definitely recommend and use again in a future pregnancy.

My sister in law who lives in Australia mentioned she used a tens unit for her labor. I had never heard of a tens unit so I started researching and quickly found Tens for Labor. Working with them was easeful and they made sure our unit was here in time for our birth. I was able to labor naturally and believe using the tens was instrumental in that process. My midwives were impressed I had one as it is not commonly used in the US for laboring. I am very satisfied with my experience of renting a Tens machine for my labor. My doula recommended using a TENS machine during labor and suggested this company to me. The process of renting the machine, returning the machine, and learning how to use the machine were easy to understand and went along seamlessly. My labor began with a scheduled induction and I labored 48 hours prior to receiving an epidural. The Tens was a God send in helping me get through each contraction in those 48 hours. TENS for Labor makes the TENS machine accessible: affordable and convenience. I don’t know what I would have done without the TENS machine during my labour. After giving birth, the process of returning this rented machine was easy, because the return sticker and packaging was already set when we were mailed the rental. It’s great that the pricing is affordable, machine works great, returning was seamless—and most importantly, no clutter of additional thing to keep at home and no contribution for the manufacture to make and deliver a new machine when a perfectly fine one already exists in the world!

As a doula,I ordered an Obi TENS for my clients to use. It arrived in less than a week. I wanted to try it to make sure I understood how it worked… And unfortunately my unit wasn’t working. I emailed Jill and she called me within the hour! She patiently explained and helped with troubleshooting, solved the problem, and walked me through effective use of my new TENS (which actually WAS working – PSA: it must actually be attached to a human to test it). I highly recommend both the unit AND the company behind it.

Second time I used a Tens system for labor and this unit was even better than the one I had before. The optimax function really made a difference. I used this device during my second unmedicated birth at a hospital. I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in reducing the likelihood of medical interventions or interested in exploring options that give control to the birthing mother and allow her to move around – weather in hospital or in another setting.

This is a great and unique service! We didn’t want to buy a TENS unit for a one-time need in labor, and hate to create unnecessary clutter and waste. Plus the ones for sale online don’t have the same features as this one (which is specifically designed for labor and includes a boost button that gives the user the all-important sense of control, which really helps coping with contractions). The process from ordering to return was seamless and easy. They even included spare batteries, which we ended up needing to use (and a long interruption to go find batteries would have been VERY unwelcome in the moment!). The TENS made a huge difference in coping through early labor without relying on lots of pain medication. I also appreciate that there is a long enough “rental” period so that we had the unit after about 36 weeks in case of unexpectedly early labor, and we still had a couple weeks left to return it after a full-term birth. It was nice not having the pressure to put it in the mail immediately when we were overwhelmed with around-the-clock baby care. Highly recommend!

I could not have gotten through my completely unmedicated labor and delivery without the TENS Unit. I was able to labor at home until I was 6cm dilated using the TENS and kept it in the car on the way to our birth center and through the delivery of my son. Austin Childbirth Center made renting the unit super easy, from having a user friendly online ordering system to providing everything you need (even the label!) to return the unit. I labored naturally for a very intense 5 hours and this tens unit helped me so much! Baby was sunny side up and I could feel my contractions in my back. This is such a wonderful tool for anyone in labor, so happy I had it.
